(Photograph) - Britain’s first “gaming academy” was launched on Wednesday.
Following the relaxing of the gambling laws, Blackpool and the Fylde college is training people to work in the casinos which are expected to be built along the town’s famous seafront as it seeks a new lease of life following the decline of traditional British holidays. Guests at the opening played for fun with free gambling chips. Roulette tables and slot machines will be used to provide vocational training. Photograph by SAM ATKINS
