Gove 'bottled it' over funding

Local authorities representing the worst-funded schools in England, have accused the UK education secretary, Michael Gove, of "bottling it" over plans to bring in a fairer funding system that would eliminate financial inequalities between schools. Mr Gove said he had been forced to drop the plan for this Parliament because the current economic climate meant "stability must be a priority".
