Anyone ordering a book from the Aamp;C Black stand on the last day of the show will have their name put in a prize draw. The winner will receive a set of the new Go Facts hardbacks, three Go Facts starter packs and all four books in Paul Johnson’s Copy and Cut series. Total prize value is almost pound;260.

Barrington Stoke, specialist publisher for reluctant readers, will have a draw on its stand. The first prize is of 20 books and the second is 10 books. The firm is also giving away stickers and posters.

Black Cat Theatre Company is offering free shows for two secondary and two primary schools. All teachers need to do is register the details of their school.

The British Computer Society is offering all schools that visit its stand the opportunity to become automated European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) accredited test centres free of charge. This offer is worth pound;400. Schools have to order 25 ECDL log books at pound;20 each to qualify.

The British Heart Foundation will be giving away 500 Have a Heart hologram posters. Visitors to the stand can also fill in a short questionnaire to win one of the following: Early years, a copy of the new Artie Beat’s Picnic reading book; KS2, a healthy living poster; KS3 and 4, hologram poster, and for pupils aged 16-18, a mini research project study card.

Put your name in the hat to win a case of wine with the Chambers prize draw. To enter, simply visit the stand in the Publishing Village and fill in an entry card. The winner will be picked on the last day of the show at 4pm. Free dictionaries and thesauruses will be available at the end of a presentation by Chambers’ senior editor Mary O’Neill. Her talk, “Making Words Come Alive” takes place at 1pm on Friday.

Everyone who buys a school musical or a new Frantic Music Games book from Frantic Productions will be entered into a draw. At the end of each day of the show, three customers will receive their orders free of charge.

LFC Despatch Line will be giving away multi-content goody bags and also celebrating its 10th anniversary with a competition to win a computer. All you have to do is visit their stand and have your badge scanned. Stand F12 Schools can claim an extra 20 per cent in free goods when they place an order with Direct Educational Services at the show.

ESPO will be holding a free prize draw to win an A3 laminator on each day of the show. They are also running a competition to win an office shredder valued at pound;270, and will be giving away free mouse mats. Stand J38 Visit the Franklin Watts’ stand in the publishing village and you could win a new Literacy Word Bank for your class. All you have to do is solve an anagram, fill in a short questionnaire, and the Word Bank could be yours.

School Signs will be giving away three Friendship Stops via a daily raffle which will be drawn at 3.00pm every day. These are worth more than pound;100 each and the winning schools can determine the base colour for the Friendship Stop sign won.

Teacher recruitment specialist Mark Education is offering pound;1,000 worth of Thomas Cook holiday vouchers. The offer is open to existing and newly registered Mark teachers, and each of the five winners will win pound;200 in vouchers. The prize draw closes at midday on Saturday, March 15.

Tribal will be holding a free prize draw for their CTAD Training software titles. They will also holding a prize draw of a laptop for visitors who sign up to an SfE professional development course for secondary level.

The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust has a daily competition giving visitors a chance to win two bottles of Banrock Station wine. The draw takes place every day at 4pm. Eye-catching interactive screensavers with hot-links to the trust’s new wwtlearn.org.uk website are also available.

The Youth Hostels Association is running a competition in which teachers can win a family weekend break worth up to pound;200. All teachers have to do is complete a short questionnaire about their requirements for a school residential holiday and they will be entered in the prize draw.

BNTL Freeway will be running a competition each day of the Education Show and giving away one copy of its Basic Drug Awareness Course, worth pound;65, plus two runners-up prizes of the Basic Drug Awareness Lesson Plan aimed at key stages 23. Just fill in your name and address at the stand to enter.

Stand A37

On each day of the show, Make a Connection will be giving away two copies of the Make a Connection Life Skills Teaching Resource and five copies of Their Place in the World, a striking hardback photo collection of children and young people involved with Connection programmes worldwide. Visitors can register for the draws by completing an entry form at the stand.
