* University and college graduates faced a bill of pound;3.82 million for payment of the graduate endowment. The latest figures show that since the endowment was introduced four years ago, letters have been sent out to 45,458 students seeking payment which stood at pound;2,154 last session and rises in line with the rate of inflation each year. It is payable from the April following graduation.
