A file detailing hundreds of grammatical mistakes by the Government, Ofsted and (surely not?) The TES thumped on to our doormat this week. Anna Nolan, author of Grammar and Punctuation for Key Stage 3, showed no mercy as she listed howlers by those who should know better.
It was amusing then to read a contrite letter from her a day later expressing her “eternal shame” at a mistake on page 113.
