Grants flow in from flooding

Carlisle secondary schools hit by the floods that devastated the Cumbrian city in January can expect to benefit from an extra pound;30m in Goverment funding. The investment has been agreed in principle by the Department for Education and Skills providing that Cumbria council makes its plan for recovering from the floods part of a wider strategy for education in the county.
