* A meeting to encourage grassroots NUT members, parents and governors to campaign against the national tests is being held tomorrow at 11.30am at South Camden community school, Charrington Street, London.

John Berry, from Hertfordshire NUT which is organising the event backed by more than 40 other local branches, said there would be workshops on involving the wider community and that the aim was to establish a national “anti-Sats” steering committee. For information tel: 01727 835554.
