Around three-quarters of our language is rooted in Latin. Study of it makes it easier to spell, interpret unfamiliar words, write logically or learn other languages.
Having introduced a Latin club at our primary school and used many of the techniques one would with a modern language, I believe Latin can be seen as an enjoyable living language. To Alex Horne I can only add: Gratias tibi ago.
