Education minister Cathy Jamieson is to launch Scottish School Grounds Week, September 16-20, as a celebration of schools’ outdoor spaces. All schools have been invited to join in the fun by registering for a free pack of resource materials providing stories, poems and ideas for activities focussing on making the most of their outdoor environment.
This year’s theme is based on the World Health Organisation’s definition of health: “care for self; care for others; care for the environment”, linking it to the Scottish Eco-Schools programme.
