Education support officer Sarah Bell and eight-year-old Samuel investigate the properties of seeds in the new family zone at Wakehurst Place. A satellite of the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, this West Sussex 500-acre estate also houses the Millennium Seed Bank and the national collection of birch trees. Housed in the former chapel of the mansion, the zone will be open daily and will be used as part of Wakehurst Place’s intensive educational programme.
