A primary school supply teacher cautioned for possession of cocaine has been suspended from the profession for 11 months. Lee Chaplin was caught with the drug during a dog search operation in a pub in Middlesbrough on March 20, 2008. He was working at St Joseph’s Primary in Stockton-on-Tees. “Teachers are role models for pupils,” a General Teaching Council for England panel said. “Such actions have the potential to undermine public confidence in the profession.”
