A multimedia CD-Rom called ICT: A Resource for All features video clips demonstrating best use of information and communications technology in the classroom, advice on how to solve practical problems such as literacy development, and links to Internet sites concerned with young people and special educational needs.

Produced by the former Scottish Council for Educational Technology (now Learning and Teaching Scotland), the support pack provides a CD knowledge base for tachers and educational professionals, says executive director Richard Pietrasik. “While being of particular relevance to those working with special educational needs pupils, it is an excellent resource for general use in education.”

A copy of the dual platform CD-Rom has been sent to all publicly funded nurseries, schools and colleges. It costs pound;29.99 (ex VAT) from Learning and Teaching Scotland, 74 Victoria Crescent Road, Glasgow G12 9JN, tel 0141 337 5000.
