Gull danger closes primary

HUNDREDS of pupils were sent home from their Brighton school after nesting seagulls posed a danger in the playground. Sharie Coombes, head of St Mark’s Church of England school sent her 260 three to 11-year-old pupils home on Monday afternoon with a letter to parents explaining that three chicks might cause the gulls to act aggressively. Professional bird handlers took the chicks to a sanctuary.
