Detentions can be fun, according to www.evildetentions.co.uk which suggests getting pupils to play “gum chum”. Here pupils are given rubber gloves, a face mask, goggles and scales. They can leave when they have collected 100 grams of gum from under tables. It took three pupils 40 minutes to scrape off 119 grams, reveals the evil inventor in The TES online staffroom.
