Two new workshops at the Glasgow Science Centre provide back-up for the “Living Things and the Process of Life” area of the primary school curriculum. In “Minibeasts”, children can look at some invertebrates under the microscope and handle hissing Madagascan cockroaches, red wriggler worms and giant African land snails. “Get Your Teeth Into This” sheds light on why teeth fall out. Children take a tour of teeth, learning about the types and what they do. Pupils can also make their own toothpaste. More information at www.gsc.org.uk, or call 0141 420 5010.
