CHILDREN’S charity Barnardo’s today unveiled a hard-hitting advertising campaign depicting youngsters in harrowing “adult” scenes of homelessness, drug abuse, suicide and prison.

The campaign - which begins with the series of advertisements - aims to challenge outdated views of Barnardo’s as a charity which runs orphanages and children’s homes. It is trying to focus attention on its main activities in areas such as teenage pregnancy, family support, child protection, fostering, adoption and education for children with disabilities.
