Heads advised on restraining pupils;In brief

HEADS are today given advice on how much force can be used to restrain violent pupils. The National Association of Head Teachers sent its 32,000 members guidance on new legislation allowing teachers to use reasonable force to stop pupils injuring others, committing a criminal offence or disrupting school discipline.
