THERE are massive discrepancies in local authority funding for the National Grid for Learning, according to the National Association of Head Teachers. The difference between the highest and lowest-spending council authority is more than pound;30,000. Schools in Dudley are getting an average of pound;35,714, while those in Derbyshire will receive just pound;3,335. The union described the figures as “scandalous”.
