The heart of the matter

ALL the tributes to Lady Plowden bring to mind the opening sentence of the Plowden Report: “At the heart of the educational process lies the child.”

According to the draft of the new Special Educational Needs Code of Pratice:

“At the heart of the work of every primary school class is a continuous cycle of planning, teaching and assessing...” No comment!
