Pages from a teenage girl’s diary, a supermarket receipt and a photo booth snap of a disabled rights activist are among 100 exhibits in the thought-provoking Self Portrait UK show at the Gallery of Modern Art in Glasgow.

More than 5,000 people, including artists, prisoners and refugees, responded to a nationwide appeal to present themselves as they wanted to be seen. They contributed snapshots, artworks, text and video clips.

Making Faces workshops for schools are being held during the show, which runs until November 16. Details, tel 0141 565 41123.
