The highest lesson ever given can be seen on the New Media website and features Chris Motherday, the teacher who climbed Mt Everest. The 7010-metre-high lesson is on “The Insulating Properties of Mountaineering Clothing” and has become a Guinness World Record. New Media, producers of science software and training, has been celebrating Science Year by collaborating with the British physics teacher and mountaineer as he scaled the world’s highest peak. Data from sensors attached to Chris’s body was transmitted to the website and published each week so pupils could monitor the effects of exercise and environment, make predictions and receive results.
