Curiosity in the further education world here as well as south of the border about the fate of Roger Ward can now be satisfied.

Eighteen months after resigning from the top job at the Association of Colleges when The TES revealed that he had concealed payments received as a consultant, he is opening his own bistro.

Called On the Hill, it is in London's Muswell Hill and can be found opposite the Odeon if any FE principals are looking to flash their expense accounts.

By Ward's standards his latest venture is modest. Newly married for the third time, he was seen painting the place himself, and he is looking for a chef. Surely just the job for a graduate from a college training restaurant.
