Students at KS2 might write a report by a merchant, informing Alexander the Great about the region. KS3 students might write one to the Colonial Office about Afghanistan in the late 1800s, when Britain’s empire was reaching its height.
KS 4-5
Students can write a briefing about the area for the US President, set during the Cold War, explaining why the US might be interested in this faraway region.
