Scottish storyteller Colin Mackay will use Anne Frank’s diary as inspiration for an event marking Holocaust Memorial Day.

Mr Mackay aims to help audiences understand the horror of war through Anne’s experience, in a session suitable for children aged 11 and over, families and friends.

The event takes place on Holocaust Memorial Day, tomorrow, at the Scottish Storytelling Centre, 43-45 High Street, Edinburgh (5.30-6.30pm). Tickets are available for a suggested pound;3 and the centre can be contacted on 0131 556 9579.

Meanwhile, today and tomorrow provide the last chance to see a free exhibition entitled The Holocaust - And After.

The exhibition, also at the Scottish Storytelling Centre and open from 10am-6pm both days, displays drawings by artist Myer Lacome that commemorate victims of the Holocaust and look towards the future.

Mr Lacome, former principal of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee, uses images and snippets of text as a personal and emotional response to crimes against humanity in the Holocaust and other historical events.
