Three-quarters of a million children are injured in accidents in the home every year. To coincide with Child Safety Week (July 3-9) Hertfordshire has launched a series of leaflets and posters to help health visitors prepare parents for the risks their children may run from birth to age five. The toddler leaflet, for example, warns that “I cannot see danger. I do not understand NO! I am curious, this is how I learn.”
