Property in the catchment areas of England’s top primary schools costs an average of 33 per cent more than homes in surrounding areas, according to research by the Barclays Private Clients group. Overall, parents can expect to pay a premium on property near 37 of the top 50 primary schools. The biggest difference was in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, with a 265 per cent premium on the cost of a home near Ashover school.
