It was good to see a photograph of Appleby horse fair (TES, June 13). Unfortunately, the caption placed Appleby in Humberside. The gypsy horse fair is held in Appleby-in-Westmorland which is in Cumbria. The “education on the hoof” project was co-ordinated by the Advisory Council for Education of Romanies and Travellers.
