Hooked on the small screen

British teenagers spend two and a half months on average every year staring at screens, according to a study by the British Dietetic Association.

The poll of 3,000 children found they spend some 20 per cent of each day playing games, using computers and watching TV. Television is most popular with two hours a day of viewing.
