An exhibition that ties in with the key stage 1 history curriculum is opening at the Museum of London. The “London’s Burning - the Great Fire of London 1666” exhibition includes video installations, archaeological finds and eye-witness accounts of the blaze.

Nina Sprigge, primary schools officer at the museum, said: “The colourful and dynamic design will greatly benefit the children, including the six and seven-year-olds studying the great fire as part of key stage 1 history. It has interactive exhibits and direct, punchy text to excite pupils.”

The exhibition opens on March 16 and runs until winter of 2009.
