The Association of Head Teachers in Scotland duly complied and amended its invitation so the press were there for the opening session only.
It seems that the Executive was sensitive to the coverage of changes to the curriculum (the subject of the conference) which, with the exception of The TES Scotland, reported wrongly that subjects such as history might become a thing of the past.
The heidies, in the interests of a full and frank exchange, agreed that these conversations were best held behind closed doors. This is not presumably what AHTS president Gordon Wilson had in mind when he called for professional confidence to get fully involved in the debate.
