* How would you like to get 10 computers from a single PC? That’s what Canadian technology company Userful claims to offer with its Linux-based software, Desktop Multiplier. By using extra video cards, the software can turn a single standard PC into a network of up to 10 workstations, says the company. Desktop Multiplier enables up to 10 users to work off a single computer box, and each user requires only a standard monitor, USB keyboard, and mouse. If it works as well as is claimed, then Desktop Multiplier dramatically reduces the total cost of ownership.
