Who Runs This Place?

What is it?

A website and DVD by Team Video Productions that offers video clips of 16 to 17-year-olds interviewing business leaders.

Who’s in it?

Participants were chosen from schools, colleges and a young offenders’ institution to represent a cross section of the UK’s youth population.

How can it be used?

To stimulate class discussion. Students can note down the different arguments, consider who has what bias and develop reasoning skills using the site as a springboard for debate.

What else?

You could use Who Runs This Place? as inspiration for your own project, choosing interview subjects and working to develop student research skills. It’s a great way to engage students with economic issues.
