Easter egg hunt

Take pupils outside for the Big Egg Hunt - 209 decorated fibreglass eggs, many with a patriotic theme to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, have mysteriously ended up in secret locations around London. The hunt finishes at the end of Lent.

How to take part

It costs #163;3 to enter and profits go to charities Elephant Family and Action for Children. Download a map from www.thebigegghunt.co.uk

This can be more than just an Easter adventure: use the trail to discuss London’s history, practise map-reading and get egg-designing.

What else?

Why not add a visit to the Museum of London? After exploring today’s city, take students back to the Roman era and the Blitz. Use Volvic42‘s London landmark factsheets to embed some history into your hunt or study the Great Fire of London with comickits’ DIY strip.
