* If you use a digital camera, you’ll know how easy it is to lose track of the hundreds of images stored on your hard drive. Now scientists at Hewlett-Packard have developed a system that could make it easier to find digital images stored on a PC. The HP system works with PCs equipped with a microphone and speech recognition technology. As people look at an image and talk about it, their comments are recorded. Speech recognition software analyses this for keywords and then uses speech-to-text software to automatically generate a caption for the digital image.
