Share good practice at BETT

Teachers interested in running seminars at next year’s BETT show have until the end of the month to submit their proposals. The seminar programme - now renamed Learn Live - aims to spread ideas and good practice. Themes include ICT in the classroom, SEN and insights for school leaders. Proposals will be assessed by expert curators and must be submitted no later than 1 July. For details, go to www.bettshow.com

Truancy Call rings changes

Automated notification system Truancy Call has launched a range of applications. E-Mentoring provides secure coaching by text message and online; Looked After Call monitors and analyses the attendance records of looked-after children, while Term Time Tracker monitors information about pupils who have been given permission to take extended holidays. www.the-contactgroup.com

E-learning tool aids communication

The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists has launched an e-learning tool to help identify communication difficulties in young people.
