Buzz around group-buying service

Online education network bee-it has launched a group-buying service for schools. The Hive gives schools the chance to join together to buy hardware and software at discounted prices. Naace annual conference

Snappy photo management

Software manufacturer Cyberlink is to bring out a new photo-management system that promises to offer a cheap alternative to its competitors. Photodirector allows users to organise large collections of digital images and will cost about #163;61 when it is released later this year, less than half the normal cost of Adobe’s Lightroom 3 or Apple’s Aperture 3.
