The current generation of high-tech primary school pupils feel increasingly disappointed by the low-tech nature of their schools, a year- long study of more than 600 primary pupils in England has found. But Neil Selwyn, from the University of London’s Institute of Education, which conducted the research, said the youngsters accepted that school ICT would be “less exciting” than what they were used to at home, and they felt only minor changes were needed at school, such as the occasional chance to bring in their own devices.
