Tailored materials for primaries

Naace, the association for ICT teachers, is running a course on making the most of technology in primary schools. The course will take place in London on December 1 and will look at tailoring generic materials to a school’s scheme of work, undertaking assessments and setting targets. It is aimed at primary senior leaders and ICT subject leaders, as well as local authority advisers and consultants. For more information, go to www.naace.co.uk

Have fun with 3D photos

Software developer Roxio has released a tool designed to make it easier to work with 3D pictures. Creator 2011 enables users to capture, edit, create and share 3D photos as well as convert digital images into 3D. It can also be used with videos to create 3D films that can be viewed on a PC or a 3D-enabled television.

iBookstore turns the page

Publisher Macmillan Education has launched a new range of classics, contemporary fiction, biographies and teaching guides on its iBookstore platform. The 55 new titles range from The Picture of Dorian Gray and Dracula to a biography of Nelson Mandela, as well as books for teachers including 700 Classroom Activities and Choosing Your Coursebook, for use with the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.
