Know any colleagues pioneering the use of information and communications technology in education? Anyone out there that you think deserves recognition for helping colleagues and students to step out into cyberspace? Well get your nominations in for the TESBECTA ICT in Practice Awards, sponsored by BT, being run by the British Educational and Communications Agency. This is the first scheme to reward good practice and the imaginative application of ICT inlearning. It also gives financial recognition too. Each winner will receive pound;2,500, with an additional pound;2,500 going to the winner’s school or organisation. There are primary and secondary categories for ICT in practice in school management, special needs, subject teaching and advice and support, and another for widening participation in further education. Nominations must be in to BECTA by July 28.
