Now in their fifth year, the Becta ICT in Practice Awards showcase the excellent practice in schools and colleges. The TES is the media sponsor and also sponsors the “new to teaching” category. Other associate sponsors include Ramesys, Adobe, Capita and Toshiba.
Award-winners receive pound;2,500 in prize money and another pound;2,500 for their school or organisation. Runners-up win pound;500 and the same amount for their organisation. This year’s categories are: teaching; new to teaching; inclusion; advice and support; collaboration; innovation and change; leadership; and learning assistance.
“Collaboration” is a new category and is open to all teachers who have promoted high levels of co-operation and collaboration in delivering the curriculum through e-learning.
