Add a musical and theatrical touch to primary lessons with Dimensions Creative Curriculum’s Bubbles lesson-plan packs.

What is it?

These CDs and CD-Roms for key stage 1 and 2 pupils are full of ideas to incorporate music and theatre into topic work across the curriculum, from the Tudors to light and electricity. Activities include:

The Famous Five. A KS1 dance lesson where pupils explore a historical event, creating movements to represent the people involved and their actions, such as soldiers crawling on their bellies through the trenches.

Spaced Out. Explores the concept of orbit through cyclic melodic patterns in music for KS2. Pupils improvise cyclic melodies, learn about musicals and compose a mini-musical about the first Moon landing.

Where the Wild Things Are. KS1 drama lesson helping pupils to understand life processes. Pupils pick an animal, then, in pairs, ask each other questions about their habitat to guess which animal the other selected. Choosing a different animal, they role-play its behaviour and find other pupils who are “animal friends”.
