The latest literacy scheme from the Basic Skills Agency has attracted 195 Welsh primary schools, it has been reported. The idea for the 2006-7 “Read a Million Words in Wales” is based on a successful experience in Denver, Colorado in 2002 and a similar campaign in Bristol.
