Schools are not teaching pupils the IT and communication skills needed for a career in healthcare, according to research commissioned by the Workforce Hub and the NHS skills council. They found that a quarter of new employees are unable to meet the IT or fundraising demands of their jobs and around a fifth do not have the necessary communication skills.
