INCLUSIVE EDUCATION - FOR CHILDREN WITH MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY AND OTHER NEUROMUSCULAR CONDITIONS. GUIDANCE FOR PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS. Free from the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. www.muscular-dystrophy.org

This booklet, developed by the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign and sponsored by a grant from the DfES, contains a wealth of information about muscular dystrophy and other degenerative, neuromuscular conditions, and is essential reading for schools, parents or carers. Taking a firm inclusive stance, the guide promotes the rights of children and young people to remain in their community schools and also gives comprehensive advice on how schools can meet their educational and social needs.

The working party who developed this resource is to be congratulated: rarely have I seen such a slim volume packed with so much accessible information and advice. It is downloadable free from their website.
