THE inclusion of special needs pupils into mainstream schools is leading to a decline in discipline and damaging the educational chances of other children, Lesley Ward, ATL national executive member for South Yorkshire, was expected to tell delegates. In three years she has seen a four-fold increase in calls from despairing members. The pupils would be better off in special schools, she said.
