Inclusion lunacy

Inadequately resourced inclusion, imposed without consultation or consent, is part of the new totalitarianism of organisations such as the Centre for Studies on Inclusive Education (CSIE).

People are right to be concerned (“When inclusion can mean separation”, Letters, September 24). We have allowed the inclusion agenda to be hijacked by extreme inclusionists. The CSIE is lobbying for closure of all special schools. This madness cannot be tolerated. Why is the Government giving money to a “charity” waging a campaign contrary to DfES policy, preventing parents of statemented pupils from choosing mainstream, special or dual provision as required in the revised SEN Code of Practice?
