Independents look overseas for income

Private schools are increasingly relying on overseas students, according to figures released by the Independent Schools Council. The council’s annual census, which covers more than 1,200 schools, found that the number of overseas pupils grew by 5.5 per cent over the past year, with more than 24,500 foreign students now studying at British private schools.
