* Indicative strike ballots are to be held at three schools in Wales over TLRs. The National Union of Teachers Cymru is balloting at secondaries in Wrexham, Denbighshire and Caerphilly, where members are facing pay cuts.

Secretary Gethin Lewis said TLRs were ill-thought-out, demoralising, and a badly-managed Westminster government initiative. Teachers’ pay has not been devolved to the National Assembly.
