THE Office of the Schools Adjudicator has upheld an objection by Milton Keynes Council against a school’s proposal to accept pupils in the term after their fourth birthday. Germander Park primary has been advised not to admit children under five from September 2004. The Adjudicator also granted permission for Prestwich secondary, in Bury, to increase its September intake from 162 to 195. This follows unexpected over-subscription of two Bury secondaries this year, which left 33 children without a confirmed school place.
