National Youth Arts Wales supports youth arts activity in Wales and co-ordinates workshops, training courses and performance opportunities in partnership with national agencies, local educational establishments, theatres, arts centres and music and dance groups. Through the Young Promoters education programme, students aged 15 to 18 are being given start-up capital to run a business which promotes live music. Five groups of young promoters will be set up around the country with experienced concert promoters acting as mentors. The two-year project is part of The Music Experience, a development programme organised by the National Federation of Music Societies supported by BT and the Lottery.
